Dirstar.com is the creation of Jason Tomlins and developed between July and August of 2006. Its aim is simple, to provide a way for people to get connected to friends, family and so on who know little more than the persons name they are searching for. If everybody online registered we would have a complete online directory for users to search and locate people. A global directory of online users.

There are two ways in which to leave your contact information, either your instant messenger client IDs or through your email address which only Dirstar knows.

Technology Dirstar employs AJAX/Web2.0 technology to to provide a fast and seamless user experiance. Under the hood we are running a Tomcat web application server. The application is written using J2EE talking to a MySQL database.
