Searching Dirstar employs the popular new technology refered to as AJAX, or Web 2.0. Simply type in either first name or the last name or both of the person you are searching for an dirstar will automatically start searching, matching your key strokes with any matching records and display them as matches are found.

You can search using exact matches or close matches, just check the appropriate checkboxes to indicate your preference.

Registration Registration is easy, simply click the 'registration' link and fill in the manditory fields and any other information you wish to make public. We will then send you an activation link via email. Click on this link and your profile will become active. To update your profile at any time simply log on via the 'Your Profile' and your profile will be displayed for you to edit. Click on the 'Update' button when done. Note that if you change your email address we will require you to reactivate your profile just like a new registration.

Making Contact To contact a profile you have found you must first log on. Fill the contact box with your message and click 'contact'. Dirstar will then email the profile on your behalf with your message and include your email address allowing the profile to contact you if they so wish. Email addresses are not revealed to the public.

If you are not registered with Dirstar.com you will not be able to send a message to that profile. If the profile has Instant Messagner contact details you will be able to view those.

Delete Your Profile Should you wish to delete your profile, log on, click 'Your Profile' and select the 'delete' button at the bottm of the page. You will be asked to confirm your chouce. If you choose to delete your profile it will be perminantly delete from our records.
